I took the kids to a city Easter Egg Hunt this year only to be disappointed in the city’s poor planning. By the time that we arrived (on time, you may not believe it, but it’s true) ALL of the eggs were gone. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. A woman stopped us and forced her son to [...]

Gray-bee: (hopping on one foot) “Hey mom, is that cool?” (He loves asking if his mild mannered tricks are cool)
Me: “Yeah! Who taught you those cool moves?”
Gray-bee: “Holden.”
Me: “Oh. Who taught you how to ride a bike?”
Gray-bee: “Dad.” (still hopping on one foot)
Me: “Oh. Who taught you how to be a studley?”
Gray-bee: “Uncle Scott.”
How did I [...]
I laid everything our the night before Gray-bee’s surgery so that I could let him sleep as long as he needed and we could just wake him up and go. At 9:30 am we woke up Gray-bee, put his slippers on him and snuggled him in his blanket, he is sleepy, but still has a huge smile across [...]
Gray-bee goes in for surgery today. He will have his “pancake” removed around 10:00AM. The hospital schedules the youngest patients first so they would not give us a firm surgery time until 3:00PM the day before his scheduled surgery. Since we didn’t know what time to plan for, Gary just took the whole day off [...]
Sometime last spring I noticed a small bump near the end of Gray-bee’s left eyebrow. I made an appointment with his pediatrician. This video was taken last year. I love the boys twinner shirts and my favorite is Gray-bee’s shopping cart dance. Enjoy!
Somewhere in all of that clean laundry are my two boys.
Holden and Gray-bee are sitting in the only spot on the couch not covered in laundry. At least it’s clean.
Before I was married and had children (you know, when you have no children, yet know everything there is to know about raising them…) I had decided that Santa was not going to be a part of my future family’s holiday traditions. My children would understand that all presents were bought by mom and dad and [...]
My camera broke. I can still take pictures, but the display screen does not work. (It’s like owning a cell phone and then having to go back to a phone with the spiral chord.) This means that I cannot erase the pictures on my card because I cannot access the menu. Our memory card holds [...]
Gray-bee is three years old and he is stuck in a world between baby and big boy. He wants to be a big boy, but there are times that he also wants to be a baby. When trying to explain to Holden that big kids don’t suck their thumbs, Gray-bee overhears this and announces to me, “Mom, [...]
