Gary And

The nursery leader asked Gary and I (and baby Gray) if we would be in the little live Nativity that they were doing for the little nursery kids. We gave the OK and because of baby Gray’s new varried sleeping schedule I slept right through it.
Gary and I decided we needed to be reading scriptures as [...]

Olivia loves everything about Christmas. On Christmas Eve we read Luke 2 and Olivia did not want to be left out and took her turn reading too. Afterward we watched “The Nativity” (the 5 minute version from the distribution center) and Liv loves to ask all sorts of questions.
Earlier that day Mammy and I watched [...]

Christmas For Holden

I have been trying to help the kids understand about the baby Jesus and Holden has caught on pretty well. He recognizes pictures and loves to mention him in his prayers. He is such a sweet little boy and at night when he thinks I am leaving his room at bedtime he says, “Mumma! Prayers!” [...]

Sorry To Disappoint You, Auntie

I don’t really have any really great food ideas this year for Christmas. I made a cheese ball into a pine cone but that is about it. Other than that it is just my usual Cookie Dough Truffles and Maple Yule Log Cookies.
Gary’s older brother Danny has been staying at our house while they are in [...]

The Christmas Star

I have been trying to help Liv and Holden understand about why people celebrate Christmas. For FHE we read a book about Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus and we explained about the star and what it represents. I was feeling really on top of the whole explaining Christmas thing and especially when we were saying [...]

Why Do I Even Have A Blog!?!

I have found it very difficult lately to find time to get to a computer and write on my blog. I have tons of things to write (and sometimes too much) but this whole “three kids” thing is really starting to cramp my style.
I am determined to have fun and keep up with my blog [...]

Did I Mention I Love The Reading Nook?

I LOVE my the kids Book Nook! It is the greatest EVER! When we Gary was framing the upstairs he angled the room to go down to the window and the shape of the roof added interesting angles. The shelf (donated from Mammy and Pappy) fits perfectly and holds all of our MANY books. The [...]
