Primary Children’s Medical Center: Part 1

I stayed up late the night before getting things ready for Holden’s appointment the next day. Two and a half hours of sleep later, I’m up and ready to go. Dad is definetly driving.
Liv went with my mom to “be a secretery” at the clinic and Gray-bee and Isobel were dropped off at Heather’s house for [...]

Note To Self: Donate More To Pennies By The Inch

I called Holden’s pediatrician Monday morning only to be told that the doctor would call me back later. Several hours later the phone rings with the doctor on the phone. It’s official. Holden is having seizures.
The doctor talked with me some more about what I need to do and then gave me the number for [...]

Red, White And Blue, Eh!

I love July 4th. Not because of the fire works. Not because of the Cruise-In. Not for the celebration of freedom. I love July 4th beause it means that Auntie Patti and Uncle Al will most likely visit. It’s always fun when Auntie Patti is here.

Holden’s EEG

After keeping Holden awake until after 2:00am, I set the alarm for Gary to wake up Holden four hours later and I went to sleep. Gary was on duty at 6:30am. He woke up Holden and kept him entertained until it was time for him to leave for work and he woke me before he [...]

My Holden

A few months ago I noticed my Holden do something that I had never seen before. He would let out a sudden gasp and if he was holding something he would drop it. I would have passed this off as just being silly, but he was dropping things that are of “value” to him, like [...]

Day Four

We started off day four with Lunch at the Lancaaster County Dutch Market. The market is a large building in the middle of a strip mall and inside is made up of about ten different individual shops. Each shop sells something different like cheese, produce, candy, baked goods, meats, homemade crafts, furniture, etc… There is [...]

Day Three

Day three started off with introducing Holly to the green smoothie. Mmmm… I love starting my day with a green smoothie. Isobel loves them, Liv and Holden think that they are “special”, and Gray-bee loves to hate them. He drinks them only when “forced”, but he prefers a good grump over eating. They are delicious, but [...]

Day Two

We started out day two with lunch at Moby Dick’s House of Kabob.

Gray fell asleep on the way there and was super grumpy when we tried to wake him up to eat. Please don’t feed thE bear.

Mmmm… Kabob-y!

Then it was off to George Washington’s home, Mt. Vernon.
Hot.
Sweaty.
Mt. Vernon.
At least Holly was willing to pose for [...]

It’s That Time, Again!

Time to play in the ditch. I know it is dirty, stinkin’, filthy, germy water, but we love to play in it. I loved to play in the ditch outside my granny’s house and I love to watch my kids play in the ditch outside our house.

I love summer.

Hairy Crafting

I do not pretend to be superbly crafty. I freely admit that I do not knit, crochet or scrapbook. (I can feel all of Utah cringing.)
What I can do is pretend that I am crafty. I can make Halloween costumes for my kids, but attempting every day attire feels so out of my league. I can [...]
