Your Songs

Thanks to the One2One Network, I was recently given the opportunity to review Harry Connick Jr’s CD, Your Songs. I was so excited to get this CD and listen to it. I mean, what girl doesn’t like Harry Connick Jr?

I waited not so paiently for the Cd to arrive in the mail (It wasn’t really [...]

Here I Come To Save The Day!…

Today I am Supermom.
I got in the shower before 8:00 am.
I made my bed.
I made a green smoothie for Isobel and myself. (Yum!)
I made four regular size loaves and eight mini loaves of wheat bread.
I washed and dried a load of towels.
I watched my friends three children so she could go workout.
I called my sister [...]

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz……..

Gary and I have been married for seven and a half years. In those seven and a half years we have slept on the same queen size bed. We thought that a queen was perfect for us. Why would we need anything bigger? A king is just too big.
Then the babies started arriving.
With each baby our bed [...]

Aye, Aye Captain!

Isobel has always been a very clingy baby. She wants to be held all of the time. Now that she is more mobile she doesn’t need to be held as much, but still has her moments. Last week we had a day where she was particularly clingy and screamed her head off whenever she was set [...]

Holden’s Blood Draw

When Holden started his medication he was taking 2ML twice a day. After two weeks with no improvement we moved him up to 3ML. I called his doctor after only one week on 3ML because that morning he had three seizures in just eleven minutes. His seizures are not usually that close together so his [...]

We’re Back!

It’s true. After two long years Mel Vs. Heidi is back. We’ve puked our guts out eating Bertie Bott’s, made ourselves (and our viewers) sick stuffing our faces with Hot Dogs, we PoGo’ed our way into your hearts, and tempted you with our sandwiches. What’s next, you ask?
Who is in Better Worse Shape Competition
The challenge [...]

Naps Are For Sissies

When Gray-bee turned two years old he refused to take naps anymore. He was big enough to get out of bed on his own and stubborn enough to mean it. Even though he doesn’t want to take a nap it doesn’t mean he doesn’t need one sometimes. If he stays still long enough at the [...]

Sidewalk Closed

Shortly before school started the city started work on replacing the sidewalk and installing a curb and gutter around the corner from us. From inside our house we could hear the big machines ripping up the existing sidewalk so of course we had to go and investigate.

Gray-bee loved it the most. He was the city’s biggest [...]

Tiny Tomatoes

Gary laughed when he saw our tiny harvest (literally tiny). Grape tomatoes. That is all that survived my being absent and neglectful over the summer. Every few days we pick another handful from our lone, neglected, yet thriving grape tomato plant. Sometimes I wonder how my children survive.

Divorce Is For Dinosaurs

Every day after school I ask Liv how her day was and then I look through her back pack to check for notes and homework. Yesterday she came home with two library books. No big deal. She brought library books home last year. Then I looked at what we will be reading this week….

Great.
Liv, don’t [...]
