Flax seed is so good for you. It is a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids and is high in fiber. Preliminary studies show that flaxseed may help fight everything from heart disease and diabetes to breast cancer. Obviously this is something that would be a great addition to any diet.
I love adding flaxseed to [...]

My camera broke. I can still take pictures, but the display screen does not work. (It’s like owning a cell phone and then having to go back to a phone with the spiral chord.) This means that I cannot erase the pictures on my card because I cannot access the menu. Our memory card holds [...]
I had a pair of yoga pants that were in my thrift store pile when I realized that I could give them new life. I have seen this idea on many sites and I have wanted to give it a try. I was excited to use my new serger.
I forgot to take a picture of the pants before [...]
Gray-bee is three years old and he is stuck in a world between baby and big boy. He wants to be a big boy, but there are times that he also wants to be a baby. When trying to explain to Holden that big kids don’t suck their thumbs, Gray-bee overhears this and announces to me, “Mom, [...]
My serger was ordered online about a week before my birthday. I knew it was on its way and I was ready to start making something. Anything. So I headed to my local library.
I checked out a large stack of books. I poured over them and my serger hadn’t even arrived yet!

Did you know that my husband rocks? Gone are the days of my birthday being filled with his favorite cake and his favorite ice cream. I am a brat and I want a present. Spending time together is nice and all, but I want a present. Like I said, a brat.
Do you know what Gary [...]
Holden’s Sunday School teacher stopped me after church to let me know that Holden is such a sweet and well behaved boy in class.
My jaw dropped. While I was saying nothing with my mouth wide open she asks, “You’re surprised?”
You bet I’m surprised! Holden is on medication that makes him more aggressive not more mellow. She [...]
One2One Network has given me the opportunity to review the new album from Five For Fighting, titled Slice.
I didn’t love this album. I listened to it several times trying to get into it, but it never took. There was one song that I liked, but maybe that is because it was the one song that sounded different [...]
Isobel is such a funny baby. She has to be involved in everything and pushes chairs around the house to make sure that she is never left out. She pushed the chair up to the table and begged for some bean dip. I love when she answers me and shakes her head.
Our little Isobel is named after two of her Great Grandmothers. In September she got to meet her Great-Granny Isobel. Whenever my Granny sends gifts and cards she signs them with things like ”From BIG Isobel to little Isobel” and “For my name sake”. I love it.
I love this picture of my Granny getting a cuddle from her [...]
